3 tips for scaling your business

While in nursing school, Natania Smith started a business on the side. In less than a year she scaled her business to a $60K+ operation - all at the age of 23.

In this video, Natania shares her 3 tips for scaling your business:

Monetize what you’re great at. Chances are you’re currently sitting on a profitable idea! Write the vision down and make it happen.
Create consistent content and increase your online visibility. Your ideal client is not going to purchase you from one single post, so consistency is key.
Bulletproof your money mindset. Do not shy away from talking about money. The more you talk about it, the more you’ll find way to have it.

I can start? PRODUCER: Yes [INAUDIBLE]. OK. I'm Natania. I'm a business coach and digital marketer. And I help women entrepreneurs grow an online business and scale for profit all while living life on our own terms. And today at Shopify Compass, I'm going to be giving you three tips on how you can scale your business and how I did it at 23. So first tip is to monetize what you're great at. And when I launched my business, Natania Creates, in October 2018, I was a full-time student in the nursing program and school was so, so hard.

And I just knew that if I'm going to survive the next two years of this degree, I'm just going to need some type of creative outlet, so I can regain control of my time, my schedule, and my freedom. So I launched my business as a content creator and social media manager. And one, it was something that I was already doing. I was already doing it for free. So I thought to myself, why not monetize it? And I did.

And within two weeks, I made my first sale completely on accident. And I was really, really shocked. And it was in that moment that I knew that this was something I could definitely do. So my first step is to monetize what you're great at because chances are, you're currently sitting on a million-dollar idea and you don't even know it yet and you're serving things that aren't even serving you right now all while you have this massively wild, successful idea in your head and you just need to get it out, write the vision, make it plain, and get it out.

So don't play it safe anymore and monetize what you're great at. My second tip to scaling your business to five figures is to increase your online visibility by creating consistent content, and high emphasis on consistent content. This truly is not a step any entrepreneur can skip. You cannot skip the process of showing up and putting in the work through creating consistent content where you can clearly articulate the needs of your community and creating content that would stop the scroll and be able to either eliminate a problem that they currently have or talk about a benefit that they desperately wanted.

And the truth is, your ideal client isn't going to purchase from you just buy one single post, so consistency is definitely going to be key. My third tip to scale in your business is to bulletproof your money mindset. Do not shy away from talking about money. The more that you talk about it, the more that you're going to be able to find ways to have it. So just remember that you are entitled to wealth and abundance and bulletproof your money mindset.
