[MUSIC PLAYING] Legendary marketer Jay Abraham has stated that there are only three ways to grow revenue. Number 1, increase the total number of customers. Number 2, increase the total number of purchases per customer. And number 3, increase the average order size. Most of us focus blindly on number one. We want that silver bullet, that one magic marketing tip or trick that will explode our new customer accounts.
The problem with this is that the silver bullet rarely exists and new customer acquisition is expensive. I prefer a more deliberate systematic approach to growth. I love email marketing because it can address all three of Jay Abraham's growth multipliers at the same time. Campaigns like the welcome series or abandoned cart series will increase your overall conversion rates. This directly leads to more customers.
That's multiplier 1. Campaigns like the bounce back or win back increase the number of purchases per customer. This is multiplier number 2. And throughout all your triggered campaigns and all your broadcast emails, you can highlight high average order value products. That's multiplier number 3. Through email marketing, you can improve all three multipliers. In this deliberate systematic focus on all three, we'll compound your results.
A mere 30% increase in all three multipliers in one year will more than double your business, for example. This is the approach that I've used at my three businesses ranging from a small design startup to $150 million accessories retailer. I always lead with email. Remember, to build your list is to build your business. Your email list is a true profit-producing asset.
