Hello, hello and welcome in today's lesson. You are going to learn how to better communicate virtually with your clients utilizing three tools. That's right. We're going to enhance your customer's experience without spending a dime. If we haven't met before I'm your instructor. Lauren messiah I am a former celebrity stylist turned personal stylist.
I've been working with clients for well over a decade. I'm also CEO of a fashion school called school of style. Both of my businesses were completely in person until 2018 where I switched my business model to be 100% online. Not only did my revenues skyrocket all of my clients had a better experience online versus in person.
One of my businesses was a seven figure business and the other business is a multiple six figure business. So this online stuff it works these days things are moving digital very fast. And if you are reluctant to adjust your business to suit. This new digital age you're going to fall behind and you're going to leave money on the table.
Now, there's a lot of clients that are very resistant to things being online. They want it like the good old days. They want to see you in person. However, if you can really master this. They're not even going to miss it. They're going to love working with you online even better and communication is the key. First, we're going to talk about one on one communication.
The first told. And I you to think about using is Whatsapp Whatsapp recreate that quick exchange that text like experience. It helps create boundaries. You don't need to hand out your phone number. If your client experience does involve a lot of back and forth taking off of email like, who wants another email nobody and move it to WhatsApp so they can feel that personal connection with you.
A fun extra that you can try is using voice notes no one like voicemail these days. That's old school, but a fun voice note on Whatsapp. They can go back and listen to when they have more time makes it personal. The next tool I want to tell you about is loom so loom recreate the explanation experience. I do this with my clients if I send them a look look, I'll do a loom and walk them through the PDF and talk through all of my style choices that I've made for them really fun tool really easy to use.
So the next thing I want to talk to you about is visual communication. My go to 100% don't know what I do without it. Is Pinterest, the great thing about Pinterest is pretty much everyone already knows how to use it. So there's not really a big learning curve there. You can use it to create mood boards concept boards and shopping billboards boards.
So I will create a board of looks for my clients utilize the sections tool in Pinterest for an individual look in each pen will link out to a place that they can shop. So I have created an entire look book without spending any money by using Pinterest. Next thing I want to touch on is group communication.
First one zoom everybody loves zoom. So zoom recreates that room full of people experience and examples. And my business is I have a book club and instead of just emailing out little tidbits. And quotes and prompts and things to think about. We all come together on zoom to have this great group discussion you can utilize the speaker view.
So you're just seeing the speaker. You can record the zooms and send them out to your clients. Very powerful. It makes it feel like an event. And again, everyone is seen and heard. The next tool that is free because these are all free is a private Facebook group instead of my inbox being flooded with all of these pictures of people and questions.
It can all happen inside of a private Facebook group. The clients can meet each other help each other. And I can help them from a contained environment. That's not my inbox. My last group communication tool that I want to hit on is slap something else that I utilize for my group coaching services. If you have a really savvy client they're going to love being on Slack.
You can organize communication topics you can send files. It's really, really powerful for your clients to have fun. Extra is telling them to get this slack app on their phone because then that goes back to our texting like communication where your client can easily messaged you on Slack right from their phone.
So there has been a powerful tool. I've gotten tons of feedback from my clients who love slack. They feel like you know, they're in a little family. And they're able to talk to me keeps the conversation going. Highly recommend. But the last thing I'm going to leave you with is this personal touches personal touches make people say, wow.
And when people say, wow, they book you again and again and again. If I have someone buy a virtual service for me then guess what. I have their mailing address and sending them a thank you card automatically enhances the experience. Those personal touches I'm telling you gives you the wow factor. So those are your tips for better communicating virtually with your clients.
