[MUSIC PLYING] So we've started setting up multiple email automations to follow up every purchase. The "Thank you" series involves segmenting new versus returning customers. The "Educational" series will usually involve multiple emails. Now, let's set up a nice brand-building email you can automate after someone makes their first purchase, a social share email.

This is an email that encourages your new customer to follow your brand on social and maybe post about you. Whether that's Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, or whatever platform you use. By encouraging customers to follow you on social media, you'll not only grow your social following, but you'll also keep them engaged through your future social posts. Instead of just telling them to follow you on these platforms, you could also encourage user-generated content.

This could be encouraging customers to share photos of their purchase with your branded hashtag, say to enter a competition or go into the running for a prize. Pushing loyal customers from email into social can build effective social proof for your brand. To set up an email automation like this, all you have to do is create the email and have it sent to customers a few weeks after they've made their first purchase.

You can try to time the email request with that magic moment your customers get when they get the most out of your product. For example, if you sell apparel, that might be when they are unboxing. But if you sell cooking equipment, it might be a few days after delivery when they first cook with it. It's up to you to work out the best timing to automate it. If you wanted to, you could also send a "have you followed us on socials?" reminder email a couple of weeks later.

But that's it. It's a nice, quick, and easy email to set up. In the next lesson, I'll take you through the final post-purchase automation we're going to look at. Replenishment emails. [MUSIC PLAYING]
