[MUSIC PLAYING] Welcome to the course. My name is Mike D, and I'm the founder of Mike D's BBQ. We make an award winning line of signature barbecue sauces and all-purpose dry rubs. I'm also one of the entrepreneurs featured on the Discovery series I Quit. As a fellow entrepreneur, I'm excited to be a teacher in this course. Yes, my business is in the barbecue industry. Though this course is all about helping you sell more product no matter what industry you're in.
I bootstrapped my company and figured it out on my own. So everything I'll teach you in this course, you can do on a tight budget. In module 1, I'm going to teach you the importance of branding your product. In module 2, I'm going to teach you how to market your product. And in module 3, I'm going to teach you some of my best strategies for long-term success. I started in 2009 by entering my sauce and an amateur sauce making competition in North Carolina.
To today, I sell my product in all 50 states and globally. I continue to outperform my sales goals every year and wanted to teach you how to do the same. By the end of this course, you'll have a marketing plan you can use to help you make more sales in the short-term and a business plan that will help you plan to be successful for the long-term.
