[MUSIC PLAYING] PRESENTER: The great thing about a store that uses Dropship for fulfillment, especially if you're using [? overlow ?] is it allows you to focus on marketing and customer service. In this module, I wanted to cover how to focus on marketing for your store by positioning your products properly, creating an irresistible offer, and outlining a customer acquisition strategy. Now before we actually go into the marketing strategies and sales tactics around a Drop-shipping store, we need to first understand how our customers shop.

Now, I know you must be thinking, Corey, this is so obvious, please move on. Customers come to our store, they see a product, and they buy. But this is the wrong way to look at it. And actually, looking at it this way limits you as a store owner. It's like having blinders on. How can you expect to grow a business if you don't see the big picture? This is how your customers actually purchase something on your store.

This is a funnel. You might have seen something like this already, but the important thing is that we realize a customer's purchase involves so many more steps and actions than we sometimes realize. This is important because we want to improve and optimize every single step and action our customers make so that it brings us more sales and revenue. So it starts with your offer. How did your customers find you?

Was it an ad, an email you sent out, a word of mouth referral, a Google search? Once they come from the offer, they'll land on a page in your store. Which page they land on is important. Ideally it's a product page, but other times customers will land on the home page or collections page. When the customer makes the decision to buy, it's not as simple as hitting a button and then money is magically sent to you. There's a process.

A customer needs to add a product to their cart. And even if you send customers directly to the checkout, they still need to input their information. Even after the sale, there's still more you can do to increase the lifetime value of that customer to just get them to come back and buy more or refer one of their friends to your store. So think about your store in this way and begin outlining the steps and actions your customers need to make before buying. This will give you a map of every area of your store that can be improved.

In the next lesson, we're going to go into positioning our products and creating our offer. I'll see you there. [MUSIC PLAYING]
