All right. It is a rat. Last thing I have for you is a dog with all the tools I mentioned throughout the course. And any additional resources you may need. Let's go ahead and review them just so you have a basic understanding. And I want you to hit the ground running. And I wish you the best of luck. Let's go ahead and check it out. We have the links, all the tools and resources that you'll have available to be able to use throughout this course.
0:32
So let's go ahead and dive in. This is the link. It's called it bit that lead forward slash the brand tools all lowercase. If you click that link. And that's actually visited, right now. So you can take a look. It'll have all the resources that you need. So let's go through that together. So you can get a general idea and consensus of what's included in this course. So first things first.
0:55
I'm going to zoom in on this a little bit. Rupert said about 150. And then I'm going to do view full screen. So we can jump in. So first things first to this presentation link. This is a link to the actual presentation. So you can go back. You can reference it. You can use it anytime you need to. I've also included some great e-commerce brands here. All birds and Warby Parker do a phenomenal job emulate them take ideas from them.
1:21
They do an awesome job. Logo moves is actually a really great website. It's logo inspiration for your design. So it's organized by featured logos awarded logos pending all that good stuff. They always show the newest ones. And then people can vote and comment on these. So this is a great way to get some general ideas on your website, on your branding sorry for your upcoming brand color mind is great.
1:46
You can get ideas for color combinations based on real time brand. So what it will do is if you generate and repopulate and then as you scroll down, it'll pull colors from specific logos and brand. So you have game of Thrones here you have farthest work you have the fall raise of the red lantern just all these different things that you can leverage then we have our fans in the wild fans in the world is pretty cool. It shows font use cases in the real world.
2:11
So a lot of times, you'll see a fire, but you don't really know what it looks like in a true brand. This website aggregates different pages and we'll show you what that final looks like in real life, which I love. So if you're looking at a font let's say this one do looks really cool, right. I can click this. And I can see what that form looks like on specific work online. This is just a great way to get a quick visual. Then we have fonts that Google.
2:35
This is probably one of my favorite tools. A lot of times you might want to purchase a font if you're you know you'll have a ton of budget are you looking for something that's low cost. You can go to Google fonts. Most of the funds on here are free for commercial and personal use. So you can use these without having to provide attribution. You can use this across your website and there are also web fonts too. So you can use them on your website.
2:57
So as you can see, Google France has hundreds of really great fonts here that you can use for your brand foreign task is another one, you can go there to check out fonts as well. Now, if you're looking for patterns. These are some of my favorite pattern resources. You have the pattern library, which has a different form of patterns that you can go ahead and review and it'll just literally just show it like this.
3:21
And then you can either hit up and down to just go through and cycle through these. And then you can download these and use them on your website. When it comes to photography there are a couple tools that I have that I really, really love. On splash most of you probably know about these are Royalty free images. You can use any of these images without having to provide attribution. Actually all the images in my presentation were found on splash.
3:46
It's amazing resource with 100 probably hundreds of thousands of images to use for your project mix kit is another one. It's a little bit different. But you can find free video assets for your projects. And again, these are all high Res HD. Lot of them 10 ADP allow room for k that you can use. So let's say you have a travel brand and you want to put a cool banner in the header. You can look at this.
4:08
And you see that you have this nice cycling image above head with these mountains in the background all completely free. Then you have placing. Now, this tool is crazy, especially if you have an e-commerce store with place it. You can put your logo on specific t-shirts tank tops in real time, and it looks super legit like, look at this t-shirt for example, it's put your design on there. That's what it will look like if you put your logo on here.
4:33
And that's what it looks like. So they do a phenomenal job. This is a paid platform, but it's really cheap. It's like 20 bucks a month use it a few times get all the images that you need. It does a phenomenal job of putting this image in real time. Then we have the brand discovery dock. This is the only dog, you need to uncover your brand and hand handoff to a designer or develop the logo and brand identity yourself.
4:56
We went over that in prior modules hiring platform. So I have two favorite hiring platforms for high quality work. I like upward. And I like 99 designs. A lot of folks will recommend fiber as well. And fiber. Once you reach a certain level or degree of designer can do a good job also. But I've always found success with both upward and 99 designs upward as you all know isn't a great platform for finding great employees or I'm sorry contractors.
5:25
So I'll show you that as well. And then logo 9 9 design is really great because you can get multiple designs from multiple designers all at once. So I'm going to show you how that works. So step one, you tell them what you're looking for. Again, that brand discovery that I gave you is going to give them an awesome piece to that puzzle. Then you get to hire a designer or you can start a contest. So you can either browse the design you like and collaborate with them or you can open your brief to the investor to the entire design community.
5:55
So designers will submit their ideas and you pick your favorite designer. Then they finalize your work and continue to work together to cultivate that brand identity, and then you go live. It's that simple. So 99 designs is a lot of fun. It's great to use. You get a ton of different ideas from multiple designers and a lot of them do a really great job. So going back lastly, we have a brand design example and a brand identity example.
6:22
So that way you can take ideas and components from these two check them out. So one, I provided a PDF here of brand guidelines. This the one we did for the game is great. And then there's also, if you're looking to create a brand identity. There's a platform called UI 8. And you can download this at 25 bucks to brand identity guideline. You can check it out. You can literally copy this.
6:45
Take this input your content and your information to update it. And that is it, folks. So that's all I've got for you. I wanted to cram as much quality and resources into this course, as I could.
