[MUSIC PLAYING] Generating a million dollars to get Instagram marketing requires a different way of thinking. The framework I use to grow my Instagram accounts is called the pirate framework. It's called the pirate framework because it spells out the letters AARRR. The pirate framework came from the software marketing world by I learned how to apply it to the world of ecommerce. What I love about it is the focus on a long-term relationship.
It's not just about a transaction and purchasing a product. It's about building trust, delivering value, and creating brand advocates over time. I found that a successful brand is one that optimizes each of the five metrics you'll learn about in the framework. Here are the five metrics in the framework-- awareness, activation, revenue, retention, and referral. This framework is more action-orientated and can actually move more potential customers through your pipeline.
Each of the following lessons after this one goes into detail with each aspect to the framework. To start, I'll give you a general overview of the framework. The first A is awareness. This is way a product gets discovered. The next A is activation. This is where your followers take actions like commenting or converting into email subscribers. R is for revenue.
This is the point where fans start converting into customers by purchasing your product. Next is retention. This is where you can use Instagram as a tool to keep your customers engaged and purchasing again. And the last R is for referral. This is where you get customers and followers to use Instagram to refer friends and colleagues. "Tag to win" and [? "unboxing ?] [INAUDIBLE] are just a few concepts that we'll explore.
